Never the less it's a start. You can also host your PTC (Pay to Click) sites on them as they usually need a lot of bandwidth and can sometimes take up a lot of resources.

With these you can host practically anything on them, ranging from game servers, to voice servers to your very own VPS's. But they're is a few issues with this, first of all it came be quite expensive to buy a dedicated server, depending on the type of website you want can depend on the specs you will want. And then you will have to know how to run a dedicated server, they're not easy, some come with control panels such as cPanel and some do not, the good thing with cPanel is that they're is a lot of options and most of it will be self-explanatory and set it self up by itself.
